The Chinquapin Oak (Quercus Muehlenbergi) grows to 90 feet in height, occurring on the well-drained, deeper soils of the river and creek bottoms. It is an upright tree with deep green foliage that turns crimson, orange-yellow to brown in the fall.
The Chinquapin Oak is also drought tolerant.
